We recently reported the return of the afro hair in Prada’s collection. The trend has now been confirmed by Louis Vuitton and Mulberry and it's even been featured in Vogue magazine.
Marc Jacobs, who is now designer of Louis Vuitton, wanted extravaganza for his Spring 2010 show at Paris fashion Week so he commissioned massive afros made of five wigs sewn in together by celebrity hair stylist Paulo Guido.
We also spotted the afro trend in the latest advertising campaign of designer handbags brand Mulberry. This time tough, it’s a softer afro that looks like blow-dried hair.

I'm still on the fence about these afros, but they are definitely pushing the edge and making statements.
I see your point but as long as it's not caricatural, it works for me!
afro hair or shall i say teased and crimped hair on non black models has always been done nothing new really.
